ROBIN BUS SERVICE
 
robin forest mapThis new on demand minibus service is operated by Lydney Dial-A-Ride & Community Transport on behalf of Gloucestershire County Council but is not a door to door service. There is no subscription, you simply pay for each trip or use your concession card.
 
Book your trip from one bus stop in this area to another, including Lydney train station and at a time to suit you. There is no timetable.
 
Absolutely anyone can travel on the service so please share the information as widely as possible. . Online bookings can be made by over 16s. A journey can also be booked on behalf of someone younger who'd like to use The Robin.
 
Rural Community Transport Service 777 operated by Dial-a-Ride Lydney. 

This Monday to Friday service links Parkend with Bream, Lydney Hospital, Lydney Tesco, Lydney manline train station and Lydney bus station via Clements End and Sling which had lost their services. Concession cards can be used and you do not need to register with DialaRide for this service. It arrives in Parkend around 0950 and goes around the village sportsfield and the Fountain. The afternoon bus leaves at 13.10 from Lydney Bus Station getting to Parkend at 1355. The 27 service now operated by Willetts runs between Lydney bus station and Cinderford via Viney Hill, Yorkley, Whitecroft and Parkend. This runs in both directions and the new bus stops are on New Road by the front of DFR and also on the opposite side of the road, New Road by The Square and also opposite, Fancy Road both sides of the road. The bus will no longer stop outside the Barracks but will turn left and use the bus stop just into the road going to Speech House. 24A is a new Stagecoach service aimed at commuters. It leaves Parkend Station at 0610 going through Whitecroft and Yorkley, Blakeney and Ruspbridge getting into Cinderford 0650. The 24 then goes from Cinderford (0655) to Gloucester (0805) The return journey leaves Gloucester Transport hub  at 1640 getting into Parkend  at 1810 and an additonal one now leaving Gloucester 17.30 getting to Parkend at 1900. https://tiscon-maps-stagecoachbus.s3.amazonaws.com/…/24761.…

786  weekly (Thursdays only) direct service (run by Willetts) to Gloucester. Pick up at "The Fountain" at 09.15 +/- (signal to driver), return from Gloucester at 13.30 hrs arriving back in Parkend at 14.40 hrs +/- (timetable on line). This service is well patronised.
