Canopy is developing a Creative Walking Project in West Dean with walks in Parkend and Bream. The difference with this project is that participants can sign up for a Creative Walk AND an Arts Workshop (led by 3 artist!!!) AND have their work displayed all for a suggested donation of £8! (or less)
The idea is to support participants to develop their ideas started on the walk into a piece of work - whether that be a poem, a story, piece of creative writing, short film, photographs, collages, painting, sculpture, fabric etc.
Support will be given through the art workshop. Then to celebrate everyone's achievements with a Private View to show the work. Canopy aims to tour work from the display/exhibition to venues around the FoD to promote Creative Walks and show the public what is possible, and to encourage people to get outside to enjoy the outdoors.
Each walk is about the journey, not the distance covered.
