WHAT IS AN NDP? An Neighbourhood Development Plan is a community-led framework for guiding the future development, regeneration and conservation of an area.
WHEN WILL IT BE? The first session is this Saturday May 11th in Parkend Memorial Hall from 11 am - 4 pm. The next ones are Yorkley on May 18th and Whitecroft on June 2nd.
WHY SHOULD YOU COME? We encourage everyone to pop in to see all the hard work that has gone on to get to this point. From now on we really need as much input from the whole community to drive what we see as priorities for this area, e.g. transport, broadband and mobile coverage, playgrounds, employment, affordable housing, sports facilities etc.
WHAT WILL BE THERE? There will be displays and the opportunity to give your views and suggestions on all aspects of the community, from guiding and having an input into type and location of development, addressing the lack of public transport, unreliable communications. A short questionnaire will be available for you to anonymously give your information about what makes it a good location and what could be better.
WHO IS IT FOR? Everyone's input is really important and we need to show we have included a complete cross section of the community; young, old, families etc, It is not just for residents but people who live here, people who attend schools and churches here, people who work here and people that visit. If you run a business in the area, particularly from home, we really would like to meet you and find out what issues we could try and help address.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
The feedback form that will be available is for all ages and we particularly need young people, singles and older people as they are the groups often underrepresented in analysis. We need to spread the word around to encourage everyone to come to the NDP Open Day in the Memorial Hall on Saturday Please speak with friends and neighbours and offer a lift to those that are not able to get to the hall without transport. This will really show the community spirit.
