HAVE YOUR SAY (closing date 27.8.20)
A new planning application has been lodged for the land adjacent to Parkend club (formally the Lion Pub). To view the application documents online - www.fdean.gov.uk - go to planning – view planning – search with this reference P0983/20/FUL. Alternatively, there is a set in the village that can be viewed by appointment and with full social distancing (tel 01594 563479)
This is an important piece of land as it is proposed to put three 4-bed detached houses with 2 detached garages on the site. Also there is a planned new access to the site which uses the steep section of ground next to Oakdean House (see Schematic Storm Drainage Layout document).
The Forest Edge South Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP), covering the villages of Parkend, Yorkley, Whitecroft, Pillowell, Oldcroft and Viney Hill, is well advanced and will be going to a planner to formalise the policies very soon. This will have considerable influence on developments in this area and there will be further Open Days for you to discuss the policies etc. as this progresses.
YOU can influence this decision by writing to or emailing FODDC or comment online quoting the planning application reference P0983/20/FUL
Things to consider:
• Access to site
• Does it fit in with the village profile?
• Size of buildings, materials and design
